Small scope, explicit boundaries

About ParkReady

One independent source index for 19 Victorian parks. It is designed to make an official check easier to scan, not to replace the official decision-making sources.

01 / Independence

Not a government service

ParkReady Victoria is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Parks Victoria or the Victorian Government. It uses no government logos, maps, photographs or visual branding.

02 / Source

Official text, visibly attributed

The condition index adapts Parks Victoria website material under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Every condition links to its controlling official record and carries the attribution © Parks Victoria 2019. Third-party material and imagery are excluded.

03 / Freshness

Hourly, with fail-closed states

The source is checked hourly. Data is labelled current through two hours, stale after two hours and source-check-required after six hours. Any failed, malformed or anomalous fetch immediately wins over age. An invalid snapshot never replaces the last valid one.

04 / Meaning

No safety or openness score

A matching notice is not a complete risk assessment. No match is not “all open”. The system does not invent reopening dates, route around closures, summarize emergencies, personalize advice or tell anyone to proceed.

05 / Privacy

No accounts or behavioural profile

The v0 site has no user accounts, email alerts, forms, advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Aggregate first-party request counts may be used to judge whether the public pages have repeat utility.

06 / Beta

Public from day zero

ParkReady launches after its production source and page checks pass. A 72-hour reliability soak gates promotion and commercial modules, while longer monitoring continues in the background. Affiliate or advertising modules also require independent visitor value and an eligible legal account holder supplying payout credentials.
